Sharon Wofford | Writer • PhD

Sharon Wofford is a fantasy writer and medieval literature PhD living in Mississippi. She earned her PhD in English from Boston College in 2025, and holds an MA and BA in English from the University of Mississippi. Her academic research has been published in Neophilologus and Eolas: The Journal of the American Society of Irish Medieval Studies. Her poetry can be found in Shoegaze Literary. 

Sharon is currently querying her adult fantasy novel, BLOODRUNE. Complete at 117,000 words, BLOODRUNE is the story of ambitious runecrafting student Alayne, who is branded a heretic by her university for inventing a runic weapon. Hunted by the king’s forces, Alayne must survive long enough to protect her research while the lure of forbidden magic starts to unravel her body and mind. For fans of M.L.
